LG_G3_BeatThe LG G3 Beat officially announced as the first G3 variant! LG and their exciting new G series of smart phones takes a fresh look at how smart phones are constructed and moves the button set to the rear while also slimming down the bezel and overall thickness of the device. Starting with the G2 and G Flex models the G3 is now here and ready to take the flagship helm. Back in May the G3 was officially announced and released shortly their after. News surrounding the G3 however gave the device a few expected variants. The G3 Mini and an improved G3 with a Snapdragon 805 have been circulating the rumor mill and today we have an official announcement of neither with the G3 Beat.

While anyone paying attention was quietly waiting on the Mini and “Prime” versions of this handset, LG up and surprised us all by announcing the G3 Beat. The Beat is not quite the mini as it is slightly larger and is definitely not an improved version with a better processor. The G3 Beat starts with a 5 inch touch screen display that offers up a 1280×720 resolution and may leave you a bit disjointed when comparing pixels to the original G3. Internally the handset runs with a Qualcomm made Snapdragon 400 chipset that offers up a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8 GB of memory and expandable micro SD memory options. Around back of the new G3 is an 8 mega pixel camera with Laser Auto Focus and a front facing shooter that uses a 1.3 mega pixel sensor. Powering this new piece of excellence is a 2540 mAh battery and the likes of Android version 4.4.2. Add in all the best in connectivity such as 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, USB 2.0 and NFC and you are left with the G3 Beat! The G3 Beat will launch across Korea on July 18th and will then be known as the G3 s as it launches across Europe and other countries.
